1. Confirm your Minecraft profile
Open your launcher and note the exact Minecraft version used by the Fabric profile you intend to start. Downloading first and checking later is one of the easiest ways to end up with an incompatible JAR.
2. Install or verify Fabric Loader
Use the Fabric installer appropriate for your launcher, then make sure a Fabric profile appears. If you already use other Fabric mods successfully, you can usually keep that existing loader setup.
3. Add required dependencies
The official FallingTree project notes Fabric API for Fabric users. Match Fabric API to your Minecraft version and keep it in the same mods folder as FallingTree. A missing dependency usually produces a clear loader message at startup.
4. Put FallingTree in the mods folder
Download the Fabric build of FallingTree and move the JAR into the mods directory used by that game instance. Do not unzip the JAR. If your launcher manages separate instances, confirm you are editing the instance-specific folder rather than a different Minecraft installation.
5. Launch and test
Start the Fabric profile. If the game loads, test the mod in a safe world before relying on it in a long-term save. If the game does not load, read the first relevant loader error and verify version/dependency matching before changing several things at once.
Use a FallingTree file that matches both your Minecraft version and loader. Our download picker resolves files from the official Modrinth project instead of repackaging the mod.
